I-485 - Receipt Notice - Principal Vs. Dependent Application

Hi,

    Does the SPEED of "Receipt Notice" for I-485 application filed with VSC varies based on \'New (Or) DEPENDENT Application"?

    PS: Assuming that a Principal Applicant\'s I-485 Application is pending at the final stage and will for a Dependent I-485 application filed after that do one get the Receipt Notice FASTER?

Hi,

I\'m on the same boat as you.
I filed my wife\'s I-485 papers on 4/10/2001 and my pd is 10/97 and rd is 9/99.
Still waiting for the Rcpt notice for my wife and Approval of my 485.

But, in my friend\'s case with similar dates, recevied his approval and rcpt notice for
his wife witha a week apart (last week of April 2001).

The only difference is, his wife I485 papers got in to the INS office before 4/10/2001.
