I believe some one ask this question before. On the I-485 Part 3 section A. There is a "Yes/No" question asking "Were you inspected by a U.S. Immigration Officer."

1. Am I supposed to say Yes or No?
2. Is the question asking were you check out by the "customs" in the airport where I landed?
3. If I checked "No" and need to correct it, what should I do? ( I thought it means you are suspicious by the "officer" that he need to "inspect" you  )

(P.S. I filed with I-94, passport stamps, F1-Visa etc... I mean those documents = legally enter USA right:confused: )

I called USCIS Customer Service and they gave me different answers in different calls :

1. Mail a letter to the office where I filed and explain the case to them.
2. InfoPass and make appointment to change it?

1) this question is asking whether you arrrived legally with a visa or crossed over through the desert at night.... It has nothing to do with the customs. You have to send an amended form with an explanation to whereever your form is pending.

If your wife entered the U.S. legally with a visa or visa waiver, why for goodness sake would she check no

The answer. She should check YES.

I thought Inspection means check out by the "customs"
I'm glad that I found this thread. Save one mistake :D
Thanks!!
