Hello ,

I applied for I140/I485 . I am on H1B and my wife holding F1 .

What will happen if my wife change her visa status F1 to H4 ?
Does it affect anyhting on 485 process?

One more Q
I have read some articles after applying AOS (I485) F1 status will get supress and enter into "485 pending status". Is my wife
can go to school or not?
 
Once you file AOS your status is AOS pending but one can extend H1 or H4 or change to H4
Many try to maintain H1 status till the I-485 approved because if due to any reason the I-485 is denied person can stay with valid H1 and valid H4
Many maintain H1 to bring the spouse on H4 so that they can file her I-485 before they get I-485 approved.
Many prefer to have valid H1, H4 visa sticker in passport so that they can enter US with out AP

Your wife with H4 status and AOS pending can go to school
