I-485 Processing pattern

The INS at the end of Jan 2001 has given the following direction to the AILA according to the notes from an attorney.
1. The finger prints notices for persons who applied upto and including ND 9/99 in the chronological order along with the other nationals.
2. The FP notices for persons who applied between Oct/99 and Mar/00 should get the finger prints in Feb/01. These persons cases are not in the chronological order processing as you know many of the \'Other\' nationals are already done their FP earlier. So it is only these people(india and china) whose cases are behind the other nationals for FP etc. None of these cases are yet approved and should wait and see when we see the first approval for this period. Again this only pertains to nationals from India and China.
3. For persons who applied after 03/00 should get their FP notices in chronological order along with other nationals so there won\'t be any delay for these people comparing with the other nationals.

What do you guys think ???????

I am not sure what this implies. Should we read this as intimation of further delays for Ind/Chn 485s (10/99 - 3/00 ND) post their FP scheduled mainly in th emonth of March ? Or, should we read this as intimation of delay for non Ind/Chn 485s given the avalanche of Ind/Chn 485s that are about to join the mix ?

Any thoughts ?

I think this means there surely are two different queues, one for people from China and India with FP delayed (their I485 will be further delayed due to this delay), one for all others.

So if we see bunch of Chinese or Indian with late ND get approved,
we will know this is true.

Toto, You are correct. I just want to pass the info I have that there are for sure two queues as has been discussed in earlier discussions. The approvals for Oct/99-Mar/00 ?? is a big question. There are some people who opinioned that they should come very soon by end of Mar/01. But until we see an approval for India/China for ND/PD Oct99-Mar 00, let us keep our fingers crossed.
By the way my ND is Oct 99 my category in EB2 PD 1/99.

I agree with toto….

If we see some approvals, post dated march for Indian’s and chines then we can say that there are 2 queues.

He say’s they are not following an in sequence pattern for oct-99 to march-2000, this delay is not going to effect April – 2000 I485 people.

Until we see any approvals we can’t say any thing.
