I-485 Preadjudication

Hope things work out in your favor. Be on top of things (read the forum and bulletins), you can't rely on the lawyers\paralegals. They have nothing to lose but you do.

thank you. it was because i was on top of it that i saw the visa bulletin. that it matters that they got before july i know, but i am glad i sent it.

it goes back into storage. EAD and AP will be processed though. Many 2003\2004 I485 filers are in that stage.

and does one know if the application goes on file? right now the receipt number isn't in the system. is that a sign it happened?
 
if you got a receipt back, it should be ok. Else, the application is returned (from what I heard).

ok in that they will process the application? or okay in that they will accept it and put on file? so only if they send it back means they will put it on hold? well, my receipt number isn't in their system. wrote letter to them and will see what happens.

so even if they send it back, they will still process ead and ap?

if they accept it ( i.e. receipt notice has been sent) they will be processing it. If PD goes back, then EAD and AP will continue to be processed and rest of the application will be on file.
However, recently NSC has started pre-adjudication which means its sending FP and RFEs for 485 even if PD has not been current. This means they are processing the application. But they wont do a final adjudication till PD is current.

if you application has been sent back to you, then obviously, nothing related to 485 (EAD and AP as well) will be processed.
