I-485 - Police clearance

Hi Friends,
Mine is an EB-3 case. We filed for my wife's I-485 as a dependant in CSC.That time we were in NJ, so her application has our NJ address. Later on we moved to OH and updated our address with USCIS.MY GC was approved after interview in Jan,2005.Yesterday my wife had an I-485 interview and the officer asked us to provide police clearance from NJ and OH, because her finger prints were rejected both the times by the FBI as they are not legible.So does anybody know what needs to be done to get police clearance from these two states?? I really appreciate your help.

just go to local police offices of these two states and ask for a clearance letter or good conduct letter. it should work. they may charge you 5 or 10 dollars. good luck.

You can get it done at one place and is valid every where. Go to Local FBI office and get the FP card. Go to Sheriff 's office they will do PC For you.
 
send a regular mail to the local police station and tell them the reason . call them first and make sure the address and payment are correct.
