I-485 petition was transfered to local office

hello, everybody, my I-485 was filed on 3/26/2000, one year later, i took my fingerprint on 4/5/2001, then INS sent me a letter saying my case was transfered to local service to "speedup" processing, since then, it has been almost one year, i\'m in chicago, does anyone know what is going on? how long could I get an interview or GC after my fingerpring in local office, should I contact INS local service? does walk-in and querying help?

I was called for an Interview, which is next week does any one know What to expect?
