I-485 pending

Hi!

Today I called USCIS regarding the status of my pending I-485.....
My case details are :

PD june 2002
EB2 India,
transferred from CSC to TSC in March 2006
Concurrent filing (My husband is primary....got his GC in 2006 June.....mine is still pending at TSC)

Filed I-485 in sept. 2005, FP code 3 - Nov 9th 2005.....

The person whom I spoke to told me that.....my case looks fine.......then I asked him about my security/name check clearance.......he says they are cleared....I again asked him whether he is sure......then he said ya....it is cleared..... and said I should hear something soon( from 30 to 90 days)

Now, my question is.....after clearing all these checks...how much time do they take.....for sending the final result.....

Anybody, with similar situation can share your experiences.....

I got very similar answers from TSC when I had called about my case. I would wait a little bit more. Or you can call the national service center and make an inquiry. Make sure you get a reference number from them.

I have called on 1-800 number also but they told me that they do not have any information regarding my name check status and I have to get Infopass appointment for that.
Which number you guys called or perhaps option to talk to the person who has that kid of info.

Seems like 1-800 number is a number of national service center and it just a call center.

Any idea????

do u have any idea when ur namecheck has been cleared?
 
sorry, no info..on when it got cleared......they don't tell you all that......I only asked him if he could tell me the status of my security/name checks...then he said......everything is fine with your case.....and my name check got cleared...

hopefully, I should hear the good news soon.....

did u call before and they told ur name was pending? if yes then we can estimate roughly when ur name got cleared.
 
Yes, they should be able to tell you when the name check was cleared. As I mentioned in your other thread, I would take an InfoPass appointment and personally meet with the officer. My name check was pending and I was able to get a written letter from the officer that mentioned when the request was made by the USCIS.

why they won't tell me name check status

Why everytime I called TSC the representatives wouldn't tell me anything about name check status. They said starting from last Nov 1st they won't disclose this information. Even before that, I never get anyone specifically tell me name check is still pending or cleared. Is it becasue I am not lucky? How do you guys talk to the representatives? Please help!!

I remember you saying in another thread that ur name check got cleared several months back... are u not done with GC yet ?

As somebody else also has pointed out, USCIS customer service reps dont necessarily give the right information... to know the exact status, you would need to get infopass appt(quicker) or have to contact senators/congressman (takes few months to know the status) ....

That's just a mistake message from the congressman's office. What a joke.
