I-485 mailing to receipt - timeframe??

Hi - can people post how long it is taking to get a I-485 receipt from Vermont to give everyone a better idea of what is happening at VSC.

are still waiting for their receipts.

With a given law clearly signed with almost no confusion INS has taken more than eight months to just say what their stand is. Think about with so many variables within the INS to send one message to all of us what is happening. I would easily think it will take two years!
