I 485 issue-- move application to diffrent city

Hi, I am a us citizen and my wife's I-130 has been approved on june 2003.but she has applied for her change of status on october this year. Atlanta bcis office send me a leetr that it's going to take three years to change her status and mention not to bother them. I saw in the web a Sanfransisco office is taking three - four months to process I485. We have a family friend lives in SAnfransisco. My question is , Can my wife move her file to sanfransisco and give my friend's address ?

Yes, provided she moves herself to San Francisco and does everything to establish residency there (bills, transfer of accounts, driver's license, etc).

Then, once the interview comes, you and your wife are going to have to do a LOT of explaining why she lives in SF and you live in Atlanta. USCIS may not consider the marriage genuine, even though I assume it is.
