I 485 Interview - Philadelphia -Gurus Please help me

PD 10/99, ND 10/00, RFE 9/19/01 Replied 10/19/01, EB2, India. Checked AVM yesterday, says "papers are sent to Philadelphia center on 11/1/01, they will conduct an interview. The inteview may take after several months".

My question is
1)What are they going to ask in the interview?
2)What kind of documents I may need?
3)Any Idea - When can I expect an Interview?
4)Anyone who has gone through similar situation - What\'s your experience?
5)Does the current employer matter? - My Current H1 is on different Company\'s name than the one which sponsored GC

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

PD 11/97 ND12/00 RF 10/16/01 Replied 10/22/01 Case transfer 11/01/01 to Hartford CT. same massage just like c13794. I am very up sad. I don\'t know why they transfer the case at last stage. I have stayed with same company. please tell that if anyone has experience with it.

Same exact Situation

The lawyer told me:

1) It is a formality with no need for more evidence.
2) They may ask for paychecks to prove employment.

It is usually case 1 because I-485 interviews have been always for formality like checking spelling mistakes and passport visa/EAD validity.

However, if you are laid off (like me), then please try to find a job in the same category as soon as possible.

Details on interview

It takes between 1 to 2 months to be scheduled for an interview in NY. At the interview you should bring proof of employment and you need to take All the I-94s & EAD Cards when you go.. But the exact documents required will be mentioned in the letter that INS sends you specifying the interview date and time.

If you are called for an interview, you should preferably take your attorney with you to the interview. Mostly the interview is a formality. This happens at the local INS office. You need to take All the I-94s & EAD Cards when you go.

The purpose of the interview is to make sure that all the documentation in the application is correct(change the address if the applicant has moved etc.) and correct it if isn\'t. If any other unintentional mistakes are discovered, they may be corrected at this time.
 
An Interview & Laid Off: Get a Job

That\'s the best thing you can do, get a similar job.

But if you go to the interview you might be asked to leave the country according to my lawyer (worst scenario). However, I think if you obtain just a job offer, you can still get approval right at the INS interview.
