I-485 Interview for child under 21 of USC

should i still get all the paperwork such as tax papers birth certificates and the things on the I-485 interview notice checklist ready and give it to my daughter to take in to the interview with her?

Absolutely!!! She needs to have those documentation with her, or risk a delay her case. Make sure she has all the required paperwork. She definitely needs her birth certificate, passport and copy of her I-94 (entry and departure record-if she was issued one, I don't think they issue them to minors (9 when she came).

okay thank you so much for all your answers. How about proof of my citizenship? will she need that also, without me being present their?

Yes, she should bring your US passport or naturalization certificate. And if you changed your name to something other than what is on her birth certificate, she should bring your marriage certificate or name change court order as evidence of the name change so they'll make the connection that the mother's name on her birth certificate is the same person that's on the US passport or natz. certificate.

But although she will bring that plus a dozen or more documents to the interview, she should not volunteer them all at once. She should show only what is needed based on the questions she is asked.

okay well i will just go over everything with her & give her all the documents she needs. Thanks for everyones answers, i will post the outcome of the interview afterwards.
