I-485 interview and I-130 problem

Hi Gurus,

Is I-130 supposed to be approved before I-485? We got I-485 interview notice but we have not got I-130 receipt notice, have no idea what's going on with I-130. Called INS about one and half month ago, an INS representative said the I-130 receipt notice was returned by US post office for address error, they said they would send it again but we have not got it yet.

Suggestion?

Hi, I have I 485 interview in july 29th and yesterday got a notice from INS that they have sent my I 130 application to california from texas for speed processing :confused: We thought they've allready approoved our I130 that's why gave us date for I-485, now it's so confusing.

If the I-130 is not approve before the interview the officer that is adjudicating your i-485 would approve it at the time of your interview . That happened to a lot of people .

I have my I485 interview in houston in July and the INS ppl has sent my I130 to California for speed processing now?? :eek: Philaug28, do you think still the immigration officer can approve my I130 and I485 on the day of my interview? or they will need to have my original I130 file here in houston?or do they usually have copy of I130 with I485 file , so that they can give decision about both on the day of the interview ? :confused: How can I not worry my friend? my head is spinning. If they tell me to reschedule my interview when I go there, then it will be waste of my time and money again. :( Why do ppl have to suffer for the stupid mistake of the INS ppl?) :mad:
