For those who filed I-485 around 11/15/2002, Did the INS cached your check?. They didn't to mine.

11/5/2002 no receipt notice yet.

my MD is 11/5/2002 I did not receive any notice yet. We can use the attachment to update the status for last week of October and november.

I feel that we should receive our notices soon.

Checks not yet cleared.

Is there any way to get the case (receipt) number by calling IIO or VSC.

Is it possible to just give the case number (without receipt notice) to local INS office (Boston) and receive the EAD card same day. This would be an exercise to get an EAD card without waiting for the receipt.

Any thoughts ?
