I-485 General Receipt Tracker

No Title

FedEx\'d to INS on 04/19, should be received by them physically on 04/20.
RDs: 04/23
NDs: 06/21
Case numbers: WAC-01-216-xxxxx, which is generated directly by Notice Date.
INS won\'t process your case until your check is cashed (several days before
ND). So it won\'t happen that you receive your AP/EAD before the receipts :)

You can call INS at 1-949-831-8427 and tell them that your receipt is overdue.

I am very confused with the meaning of A# assigned by INS. First,
when my attorney submitted my file to INS, I got a fee receipt with an
A# on it. About a month later, I got my Advance Parole document. The
A# on the Advance Parole was the same as the one on the prior fee
receipt. So, I though that A # was my identity to INS from now on.
However, today I got my "Adjustment of Status Receipt Letter" ( I-485
). I got a different A#! Is this normal? I have my EAD appointment in two weeks at the local INS office. The appointment requires the fee receipt and the I-485 receipt letter. I\'m concerned those two A numbers don\'t match.
Thanks for your input.

I thought once you get the EAD, you are ready to change jobs ( I mean secondary applicant, which is your spouse most of the times), then what is this EAD appointment for ?
