Hi

I live in TN and my spouse lives in TX. / filed 130 / 485 concurrently.

For I-130 we used my address and for 485 my spouses since it asked for the current address.

Question: for I 485 is the NOA / Receipt sent to the spouses address in TX or to TN address?

reason I ask is received the 130 in TN but not the 485...

Thx

It should be sent to the address where your spouse is residing.

Change date?

Thanks Jewel.

What are the options to change the date for the FP / Bio?

can we do it at the center itself or request it from the INS?

Thanks

Change date

How does one go about changing the date for FP / BIO?

can we just go at a later date? I am scheduled to be out of town for an important business issue.

Thanks

try doing a walk-in.

coyne23,

if possible, try to do a walk-in to get your FP done at your local Application S. Center. Some ASC are able to accomdate walk-ins, but be prepared to be told no, if this is one of the centers which is very strict

In your notice, you have an address of where you are supposed to go for FP, you are REQUIRED to write a letter to that center, enclose an original copy of the NOA for FP and request a rescheduling for your FP as you are out of town.
However, experience has taught many immigrants that you don't postpone appt with USCIS at will, because of the imcompetency of this agency and potential screw-ups which can happen as a result of missing an appt or even requesting a rescheduling.

I will strongly recommend that you try going this weekend if possible and see if they can't accomodate your walk-in. If they refuse, you should have a letter prepared to request a rescheduling and your original NOA for FP, leave their office and find the nearest post office and mail the letter to their office, have a certified mail receipt, in case they claim you never requested a rescheduling...
