The time for approval from FP date depends on several things...
There are times when INS processes 485 cases within 4 to 8 weeks of FP done date. Other times they have taken several months. I personally have noticed that approvals in the last month or so have come in after 4 to 10 weeks from FP done date. But almost all of those approvals have been for March and early April RD cases. If INS processed cases that are adjudication-ready based on RD/ND then they have to process May, June, July and early August ND\'s before they even start adjudicating mine which is ND 8/30. I had done my FP on Nov 06, 2001. It has already been a month and I foresee several more weeks of waiting. Can\'t do much else but wait.

Time line is very discretionary on the part of INS
My RD is 02/12/01 and ND is 03/08/01 (WAC-01-124-XXX).
I did my FP on 08/15 and still waiting. So , it is all a matter of luck.
I have colleagues who did the FP much after me with a much later RD/ND
whose cases have been approved.
Remember, that what you see as the norm in most cases may turn out
to be an exception for you. We would just have to sit tight and hope
your case gets picked up within a reasonable time.
