I-485 Form question: What to fill in UCIS ststus/ Non Immigrant visa number

Hello,

I re-entered United states on F1 visa about 2 years back. Hence all details in passport pertains to when I was on F1 visa. ( Visa stamp and I-94)

Then I got job and my company applied for H1-B visa. My petition ( I-129) got approved (and is Valid till 10/2008 including I-94) but my passport is not stamped with H1 visa because I did not travel outsde the US till now.

What should I fill in the following questions in I-485
1) Current USCIS status
2) Non- Immigrant Visa number

Has anybody been in similar situation like this and what did you fill in your I-485 application.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance..

Your status is H-1, and the Visa number is the number from your F-1.

I am in similar situation like yours. Your status is H1 and visa number you will find on the F1 stamp on your passport.

What to fill in for expiry date on the form I-485

Thanks 'Nathan' and 'therealcanadian' for providing the information and quick response

Also, I have two more questions:-

1. In "Part 1" of the form 485, it asks for A# (if any) --- An A# was assigned to me on my EAD card that i got when I was on F1 visa and applied for OPT( Optional practical training). Should I mention this A# in this section here or leave it blank?

2. In the same section next to (Current USCIS status) it says "Expires on (mm/dd/yyyy)":---- Would this be the date as mentioned on my I-94 attached to my H1 approval notice or the "'D/S"(Duration of stay) which was mentioned on F1 when i last enterd the country..?

3. Since i do not have a h1 visa stamp on my passport, is it a good idea to attach a copy of my h1-b approval notice with I-485 application?
