I-485 for Employment based applicants ??

I read somewhere that the interview was waived for most employment based applicants. Is this correct? In which instants are there interviews? random?

------------USCIS has Criteria to trasfer I-485 to local office for intervirew and some time they give work to local office and NIW or EB1 cases are mostly trasfred to local office .
