I-485 finger printing TSC cancellation

I received an letter scheduling finger prints in Nov 02 and within 3 weeks i got a letter cancelling that appointment.

Has this happened to any one of you??

I called INS finally after waiting all these months for a new appointment for the fingerprinting and the officer told me that they had nothing on the file which said fp has been cancelled.

She said it was the local office which had probably done the cancellation, but advised me to go ahead and go that office in Charlotte and tell them to get the finger prints and use the original letter that they had sent.

I would like to know about any similar experiences, please share

My case is EB2 type and the receipt date on I-485 is May 2001

Hemen thats good news, looks like you are the first to get FP notice from the May- Sep 01 batch after a long time. What is your ND? and when did you get your FP notice. Thanks

first of all I want to clarify that the letter scheduling fingerprints that I got was in year 2001 (month June) and the appointment was scheduled for Nov 01, then I got a letter cancelling that appointment.

I waited till last week and called. Talked to an IIO who advised that I go the FP office and take the original letter scheduling finger prints, so I did and they ended up taking my finger prints.

Hope this is helpful for people with similar circumstances
