While visiting UK, in one of the store I forgot to pay one item (15 pounds) out of 3-4 items i bought. Store called police and they took statement, fingerprinted and photographed me.
After one hour or so they told me:
1. You are innocent party.
2. It will not appear on your record.
3. Consider nothing is happen.
4. No ticket or any paper given to me.
5. I left police station.
After this incident I entered US border couple of times from UK and there were no questions asked regarding this incident and entry was without any hassle.
Now I am going to fill I-485, I am wondering what i should mention (yes or no) in the following questions.
(1) Have you ever knowingly committed any crime of moral turpitude, or a drug-related offence for which you have not been arrested?
(2) Have you ever been arrested, cited, charged, indicted, convicted, fined or imprisoned for breaking or violating any law?
Any help is appreciated.
