I-485 filers from Dec-1-05 till now: discussions (after Retrogation )

This thread is intended to help who filed I-485 after Dec 1st 2005. After the dates moving from retrogation. Even , We noticed some fast approvals with in month or 2.

And, my 485 LUD changed on 04/06/06 and 04/08/06 , and also, it reflected on my approved AP and EAD. Can you guess why?

LUD Changed: 3/27/06 and 3/29/06

Called VSC today, the agent said Security check not cleared till now.

I somehow feel I will get my GC in the next 6 months, don't know why. May be I am a positive person.

yes, it is labour substitution. As my 485 LUD changed twice last week, I called up VSC to find out why. Officer said, it would be because of my finger print or signature update. But I cofirmed that my name check was not cleared yet. Please, post your info as well.

1-485 Applied on 04-12-06

Our company attorney send the 1-485 papers to USCIS on 04-12-2006.
Does anyone know how long it is taking to get the reciept notices in VSC.

Withiout getting receipt notice and with a valid H-1, can one travel outside teh country and come back w/o any issues? Is there any risk that 485 process getting abandoned? I am getting conflicting answers on this.
