I-485 filed in 06/2006. Didn't receive notice for FP yet

Hi,

My priority date is current. My I-485 was filed on 6/12/2006.
Received EAD and AP on 7/2006.
Didn't receive anything afterwards. No notice for finger printing yet.
The status on USCIS website still shows "case was received and case is pending". Current processing date for I-485 is Sept-2006.

What could be the reason for not receiving FP notice or any other communications? called USCIS cust. service and they just created a case number. Would appreciate any information/insight.

Are you from retrogressed country ? What is your category EB-1/2/3 ? What is your PD ?

I am in a similar situation. I am EB-2 India with PD 11/2002 . Filed on 7/31/2006 at NSC and no updates. I did get my AP approved but no signs of FP notice.

Someone in this board suggested infopass. May be that can give more information. I intend to take one in January. Stuck name check seems a possible reason for this inaction.

Hi,

My PD is 1998 and case is EB3. ( India) I have received EAD and AP.
Thought of scheduling appt in Infopass but was advised to wait.
My I-485 filing date is 6/12/2006 and hence was waiting for Processing date to be current. Until last week, processing date for I-485 was June-01, 2006. Now I saw it jumping to Sept.2006.

Going by what you said and what I heard from others, this seems to be a case of application getting stuck in name check. name check problem is too damn bad. A friend of mine is waiting since 2003.

My case is almost identical to yours - but I did get a notice for FP a couple of months ago.

Where do I check what date are they processing for I-485 - do I check the Vermont processing times which says they are currently processing Jan 06 for I-485 applications?

I had the same problem (haven't received FP notice for 4 months). I've called USCIS and told them to request another FP appointment. 7 days after the call I've got my FP notice.
Their operators are horrible, maybe you have to call them couple of times, and keep telling your FP notice was lost in the mail!
 
I took an infopass last week and came to know that I have a pending name check. I filed at NSC.

I will still call NSC and check about non receipt of FP.

>> If you filed at NSC then check NSC dates. They are currently processing May '06
The dates are published at USCIS main site and are updated every two weeks.
