I-485 - File Transferred

I filed the 1-485 in June 2005 - Just checked with the National Benefits Center Rep and they said that my file had been transferred to the Boston Field Office, and I need to check with them on the status.
Any ideas/comments on this - Is this "transfer" a standard procedure?

USCIS has its own criteria to transfer files to local office

If you file is transferred to local office then it takes 15-20 days to reach local office from transfer date and local office will send you Interview date notice.
