I-485 denied (marriage based) Help....

At the first interview I made a couple of mistakes (including the age of my spouses father). The interview was rescheduled at Newark INS. Today I went for the second interview and answered 95% of the question right, but the officer said that he was not totally satisfied and denied my application.
BTW my wife is a US citizen.

What is my next step. The officer was trying to get my wife withdraw her petition (I was not in the room at the time, was asked to stay outside). I guess he thinks something is wrong. My marriage is very legal and we have been married for 1.5 years now.

Can I apeal the denial. What are the possibilites of winning in Immigration court.
Can I continue working on my EAD valid till may 2006?

Please help...........

Talk to a good lawyer and if possible refile. I am not sure if EAD is valid, I was told that if it is denied then you have to stop working. Lawyer should be able to tell if refiling is better or filing MTR

I think to not remember the exactly age of one of your in-laws shouldn't be a big thing...what others questions they made that you fail? What was the motive for have a second interview? normally is when information is not satisfy in the first one and they give sometimes time to get more info in the second one. Can you clarify that please?

EAD is not valid, because is based in a pending AOS application and if it's not pending anymore and is denied then automatically the EAD is not valid.

Talk to a lawyer about what really happened and all the issues concerning your case.

I think its so unfair to ask ages of your in-laws. Thats like asking whats the SSN of you in-laws or whats their bank account. I mean it really has no connection to whether you have a true relationship with your spouse.

Yikes, I hope this doesn't happen everything in the interviews.... I had never heard of that sort of question before. Not even my husband can remember the exact age of many members of his family, I don't see how I should...

I would have definitely discussed it with the officer, and by all means appeal. Not knowing someone's age is not enough reason to deny your petition.
Unless it's your husband's, of course :p

If he were to ask me how old my InLaw was I of course would have pulled out the wallet and told him "My inlaw is 50". :)

It doesn’t matter how much legal or how long your marriage is, what you needed was an evidence of bona fide marriage intentions that you obviously failed to provide.
Good luck with an appeal.
