I just received a denial letter for my I-485 based on my first wife to whom I divorced in May of 03. I remarried in Oct 03 and did all necessary paper work. I actually got interviewed in dec 04 but couldnt get approved because they had my ex-wife investigated for some marriage fraud she did that I was not aware of. We divorced because of irreconcilable differences and I feel it is not fair for me to be penalized for something that I was unaware of.

Please advise me on how/where to go from here. I cant focus at work, cant eat, sleep, study and fear my wife will leave me if she found out about this. Is this the end of the road?? Any options, appeals, best lawyers, anything?? I'm desperate, need to hear something before start packing my lagguages.

Its me.. Readytosnap!

one more time, for clarity:

1st wife - USC, application filed, and then denied because of divorce
2nd wife - USC, application filed, and then denied because of the marriage fraud of which the first wife was assused.

Right? Get a great lawyer to reopen the case. Get a congressman involved in your case.

Let me clarify...

LucyMO,

Married and divorced because of irreconcilable differences while my I485 was still pending. Wasnt called for the interview. Remarried and filed I485 again. Did FP and received WP. Got interviewed with my current wife but I485 was not approved because my ex wife has/was investigated for some crazy stuff she did while we're married. I was unaware of any of those accusations while we're together. Actually the main problem during our marriage was the fact that she was moving around alot. Didn't like the situation and it got to the point where we decided that divorce was the best option. Just received a letter that the I-485 that I filed with my first wife was denied.
-Does this affect the recent interview that I attended with my current wife?
-My case has been divided in a way that the BSIC handles the I485 and an immigration judge handles I130.
-During the 2nd interview I was approved for my I485 ( I saw her writting "approved" on her papers and stamped "approved" on a printed copy) but the interviewer held back all the papers that I was supposed to be given after consulted with her supervisor.

I'm desperate, please advise on how to go from here?? any knowledgable reader's input will be greatly appreciated.
