i-485 denial impact ?

Hi,

I 'm going to file the i-485 with my wife. My wife is the primary applicant.

If I get my i-485 denied for any reason, would it have an impact on my wife's application ?

------ I think YOU are filing dervative I-485 based on your wife LC and I-140, if the I-140 or I-485 for your Wife gets denied then your I-485,EAD AP all will get denied .

Ur case being denied would not affect ur wife's case in most cases (unless there is a fraud etc where CIS might assume her liability along with yours..). However, if your wife's case is denied - ur case would be denied automatically (they are not independent in that sense)..

Can we ask if this is just a hypothetical question or u really expect a chance of denial? If latter, mention the reasons here so that people can give u more specific advise.
