I-485 case transferred...?

Hi folks,

I used the automated phone system to track my employment-based I-485. Yesterday it told me this: "your case has been transferred to local INS office in Phoenix AZ" (I\'m in Phoenix). It tells me to wait for an interview to be held in the local Phx office.
I called their 1-800-375-... number to ask how long is the interview line in Phoenix, and they said, it\'s 43 months to wait just for an interview!
Am I missing the point?

A little on my background, I had a B1->H1 status change. Lowyer says it shouldn\'t be a reason for transfer.

If anybody can help or just in the same situation, please reply, I\'ll appreciate that greatly.

hi,

did you get an interview call from PHX office. I am also waiting to hear for last 7 months from local office.

when was your case transferred and when did you get the interview call.
