Hey Guys,

I called 1800 number of USCIS yesterday, the automatic message system said no record has been found about my case, it suggested me to call VSC. Anyone has similar experience? It is strange, the old message about my case is the same as online message, and my online message hasn’t been changed.

Hi:

I had a similar experience. However, I spoke to VSC guys and they could locate my record and answered my questions to the best of their abilities, which are not the best!!!

phone message changed again

I call VSC today, the phone message of my case changed again. it said, {our review of the finger prints related to your I-485 application to adjust to permanent resident status.... has been completed.the processes of your case were continued. your case is at our office at Sain Albans VT. We will mail you a letter when the decision is made or the office ask for additional information... } what does it mean? anyone has similar message?

Hi GL,

I did my new FP on 08/30/06, but that is for EAD. I called VSC this week, the officer told me; my case is pending due to the incomplete FBI name checks. I don't know the meaning of this phone message; does it mean that we will have the decision soon? Or because I called for a inquire of my case a month ago, they used this message to answer my inquire.

imho, "case not found" message was due to an address change I did 2 weeks ago, now as I gave FP message changed.

Only for me, my wife's case still have same old message "we received your I-485... blah... blah..."

did you change an address recently?

a sign of clearance of name checks

Three weeks ago the automatic phone message of my case was change from no found to our review of the finger prints.... right after that I called VSC, and was told my name checks was pending. I found my LUD was update to 09/09/2006 (no message change). It hasn't been changed since 04/05 (after my FP1). I called VSC for an inquire of my I-485 case status in the early of August, and got letter yesterday, it said my case is still pending sevice consideration, it didn't say anything about my name checks. I don't understand what does pending sevice consideration mean. a Folk from this website suggested me to call VSC, and I did, a sweet lady told my case is currently under review by an officer, and I should hear from them in 30 days. I feel, the automatic phone message change could be a good sign for the name checks clearance.

I-140 and I-485 RD Nov 2004
I-140 AD April 2005
FP1 April 2005
FP2 August 2006
I-485 AD??

May be FBI is clearing 2004 cases...
Hope for good news. USCIS knows better.

chellencba,

that's a good sign. Hope for the best.

I called last week and they told me my case was not assigned to an officer yet, although all checks were completed and it was just sitting on the shelf... :(

I sent a letter to our senator again, maybe they can make they pick up my case for review...

yes, I called last year to CSC and an officer told me... that was last year though, they are not answering that emergency phone anymore...

Hi GCG,

we have very similar situation. Don't give up, try to contact with USCIS. I feel your case will be picked up soon.
