I-485 Birth query response related advice

We have received birth related query for my mother during her I-485 processing. We got her birth certificate (scaned copy) from her village which is in Marathi.

My question is can I submit the Scaned copy or do I have to submit the original copy of birth certificate for her?

You dont need to submit any orginals with your application.

Orginals are to be kept with you and taken in case needed for interview
 
yes a copy and you will have to translate it to english, include the english translation + the copy of the original
 
Thanks I sent my application with a translation statement attached in the front signed by my friend who knows Marathi and then by Notary fro TCF Bank to verify his signature.
Hopefully the Translation statement + translated copy + Copy of Birth Certificate will be sufficient.
