I called to find out the status as follows.
In December once... was told still pending
At the end of January.. was told with an officer.
At the begining of Feb... was told still with an officer.. should be
approved in couple of weeks.
Called last week.. and was told it was approved.
The recording has not changed even after approval .. still says "received ....takes 240 to 365 days" and I got my passport stamped too.
Calling the IIO... you might get to know the status of the application, but dont know if that speeds up the process, unless the application is way behind the official processing date.
