I received an “approval notice sent” email today. I spoke to a nice IO officer (who seemed to be an immigrant himself) last week and he confirmed all checks were cleared and today I got an email.

When u spoke to the IO, did he/she tell u that ur case was assigned to an officer?

Its a wonderful news. Enjoy your freedom. I am also in the same situation. My internal/external checks are done and awaiting to be assigned to officer. Nash_m when you talked to IO officer, did he mention anything about moving it to active processing or did he open a SR (Service Request) for you? Or did you pursue anything else to get it assigned to an officer.

No it wasn't assigend to an officer. Basically he said case looks good and his supervisor will look at it.

No, I did not ask him to do anything. I just asked to see what is going on and he said all checks are cleared and I should hear something in 60 days. I am not sure but he might have assigned it to the officer.

No, I did not but somebody told me that sometimes, USCIS sends card with approval notice.

I can't beleive there are still EB3 cases with PD 2000.
Yeah this was a substitute case. My company offered me when my H1B was expiring.

did you get anything in snail-mail (real postal mail) at all?
I got my welcome notice on 12/15/07 in my mail, 5 days after the email.
12/19/07 i just got my approval notice sent email
