I received the long awaited email today morning saying that I-485 approval notice has been sent. My details are

EB3 -India
RD:08/2004
FP2:10/12/2006

My wife got RFE in her case couple of days back. Still waiting for the RFE notice. We are thinking that it is for her medical most probably since she could not complete her medical at the time of application. This forum was very useful and Wish everyone good luck on the journey.

why ur application took so long? were u stuck in namecheck or what? what is ur PD?

how did ur namecheck got cleared? did u do anything to make it happen? like first lady or congressman or file a lawsuit or what?

how did he help? usually congressman just inquire about ur case but don't expedite it. what exactly ur congressman did and when u contacted him first and when he started helping u? can u pls elaborate.

I-140/I485 filed in Dec 03, concurrent filling.
I140 approved in Dec 04.
1st FP: Nov 2004 (LUD updated for 485 application)
Name check blackhole
2nd FP notice Oct 2006
3rd EAD and AP approved: Sep 2006
I-485 approval: 12/04
 
Congrats Krish!!! You should start a different thread so more people will know about the approval and guage whatever speed approvals are moving at INS.
