Hello every one. It was a wonderful experience interacting with many of you. Today I got email notification of my I-485 approval and when I got home and opened my mail, I found plastic green card in the mail (by the way it does not has a green color). That was really a good day for me.

can u pls tell me whats ur nationality?also ur email and the card came the same day?Did u apply for EAD ?
 
with pd 04 should be current with non retro country, congrats anonymus!!!

485 approval in about 70 days wow!!

I am EB2 and just filled with TSC RD today..... you really gave me hope :)

Congratulation Anonymous 12! Great work!

Your approval proves that TSC is working and issuing GC. However, other centers are not moving.

Most service centers have nothing to do at the moment. Retrogression has pretty much dried up 485 apps. Whoever is able to apply these days will get approval within months if there are no security issues.

It just proves that this whole retrogression is based in speculation and is totally senseless and unfair. Maybe the dates should not be current but they are no supposed to be this far back. This whole system is turning out to be big joke.

Answers to few queries. My profession is Medical research/faculty, I did not apply for EAD and I applied via labor certification. Yes I am from non retrogression countries. Feel free to ask me questions regardiny my petition. I was surprised myself too. I am glad it is done now.
 
i would hold my fingers crossed: maybe fast processing is a new trend with medical research staff? :D :D :D

Can you please educate me on the "retrogress country" matter ?
I thought the retrogression was worldwide. I understand China,India,Philippines and Mexico have the worst retogression but I was almost sure every other country in the world is affected too. I believe you were approved because of your category EB2.
So why people keep asking if you are from a "non retrogressed" country????
I'm I right or wrong? please help me understand.
 
Retrogression dates

EB3s for worldwide have been retrogressed to 2001 but all other worldwide categories are current so if you are EB1 or EB2 and do not belong to India or China then your approval should be very quick. EB3s are in the worst position right now.
