I-485 approved

My I-485 got approved last friday, Oct 15. (ND Sep 19, 2002, second FP Aug X,2004, RFE for employment Oct1). I have not received the approval notice.

Question for you:

When should I let my employer know that my status change? I used AC21. does the H1B become invalid automotically? Do I need fill any forms in order to get my paycheck?

Your H1 became invalid as soon as you used AC21 ....
I don't see any reason you need to fill any forms to get your paycheck....
Inform your HR ... once your passport is stamped ... I don't think it makes any difference though .....

Wrong answer. AC21 has nothing to do with invalidation H1.
h1-B is invalid only when you use EAD. If you changed jobs using H1 transfer you are still on non-immigrant status.
Even approval of I-485 does not invalidate H1 status till you get GC stamp on your passport.

You need to fill Form W9 ( I remember ). It is available at IRS web site. Talk to HR department.

W9? I only know of W7, W2 and W4. I think you are referring to I-9

Just tell your employer that your GC is approved. That's all. If they need something, they will let you know.
