All,

I would like to share with the forum that our I-485 petition has been approved today. We got 2 magic e-mail one for me and the other for my wife saying documents were mailed to your address.

Btw I got 2 more e-mails just now, saying "On March 25, 2005, after approving your application, we ordered you a new card.
Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready". Is this normal or Does this mean we do not have to go for Passport stamping and we will get the cards very soon. Please advise.

Thanks,

Srini

Basically PD is date when your labor was filed.

ok Thanks! My Labor was filed on 06/15/2002. Btw should I still go for Passport stamping even though they say a card was ordered?

PD does not matter here because this person's 140 is EB2. If PD is current, applications are processed based on Receipt Date.

Congrats!

vempsri,

Congrats! No you need not go to passport stamping. Stamping is supposed to be temporary.

Yes, it is normal to get the second message. Vermont has been issuing card immediately after approval. There are 2-3 cases approved this week that I know of where card was ordered after the approval.

I would take an infopass apointment scheduled sometime after two weeks. If get the card by then, cancel it.

Best of luck for your new GC life.

Hi,
Congratulations on your GC approval! Did you have any LUD changes after FP received and before your approval?
It is indeed a good news for people like me whose filing and processing dates are somewhat closer to yours.
Mine is also EB2, PD Mar 2002, I-140 AD: April 04, 485 ND: May 20, 2004.
We also gave our FPs recently on Mar 04, 2005.
There was one LUD on March 11 for me and Mar 15 for my spouse that the Finger prints were received.
My I-131 is also pending and 6 yr H1 period ending April 15, 2005.
Thanks.

Sure, We shall enjoy our GC life. Thank you for your valuable advise!

It is quite surprising to me that vempsri's 485 was approved only 2 weeks after FP done. I thought name check was initiated by FP. Can name check be so quick nowadays (<2 weeks)?

Fp

Congrates! looks like your fingerprint is right after 140 approval. My case is very close to yours on timing. Did you go fingerprinting as the time on your notice or you went for an early FP? Also your FP is code 3?

Thanks!

Congrass !!!!

How many FPs?

How many times does each person need to give finger prints? Assuming that 140 & 485 are approved with in a year? I am told that you give finger prints once before approval of 140 & 485 and one after that at the time of stamping..
