got eb2 niw approval in Dec 97
got eb1 (or) approval in Jan 99
got j1 waiver and changed to o1 in march 99
i-485 filed RD 3 april,99, ND 3 may 99
REF received 14th July 2000
VSC received REF 9 August, 2000
message changed i-485 approved 16 august 2000

I was asked a simmilar RFE. Your answers for the following
questions will be highly appriciated.

Could you please tell me, when they asked \'current employer letter\'
in your wife\'s RFE, did they clearly mention that it is your
employer\'s letter or your wife\'s employer\'s letter that they wanted?
Which one did you send?

Did they mention in your wife\'s RFE, why they are asking those
documents (ie., did they mention something like.. \'evidence to
prove that you will not become a public charge\'. If that is the
case, did they not ask for some sort of letter from bank)?

As my wife is employed full time I did not have to do affidavit of support. They wanted letter from her current employer. In fact, she had submitted one with I-485, but I guess they wanted to make sure that she was still employed.

so we sent leeter from my employer for myself and letter from my wife\'s employer for her.

Hi Satty,

We also received a letter to go to the local INS office here in NJ along with the originals like passport, marriage cetificate etc and the medicals. So are we supposed to do it all again? Please help me.

Marriage certificate enough or do they need the marriage album etc.,
