Congrats to you as well!

USCIS is pretty erratic in terms of what e-mails get sent out. For example, I never received the "Welcome Notice" e-mail.

Also, I haven't received the actual paper copy of the approval notice or the physical card as yet. It has been only a few days though. I will keep you updated.

also today we received approval notices in the regular mail box and I am very happy and waiting for GC card.

my opinion is just make sure NC is cleared and contact local congressman for request open your case..
also ask u r self request service center SR for open case
don't wait take some action

Received the physical plastic card and the approval notice in the mail today:)

Now the wait remains for wife's approval!

We are brothers. My case is very similar to yours. It was approved only 2 hours after yours. Our cards and welcome notices came in the same time.

That's indeed a coincidence. Congrats to you too.

I was told a long time back that my wife's name check was cleared. Wonder what's holding her case up. We will initiate a SR soon.

Same here. My wife got her NC completed in 2005. Inquired through senator and was told her case is 'in exams and waiting to asign to a examer' :rolleyes: Will see and update.

I am not sure if they are the same. I did received two emails referring each of them. But I only received one notice in mail as 'welcome notice'
 
The only notice that I got by snail mail is the "Approval Notice". The envelope containing the physical card had a tiny pamphlet entitled "Welcome to the United States" as well.
