Just heard AVM, yet to receive the approval.
Details: WAC 01-163...
ND 04/20/01
RFE 20th Oct
RFE Received 30th Nov
RFE Approved 12th Dec
I\'ve a couple of questions:
1. My company was taken over and the deal will happen after a month, will it create any problem
2. What do they ask when I go for stamping and what are the documents needed.
3. Where is INS San Francisco office. Is it the same where you go for FP

Waiting_like_crazy, When was the response to RFE sent back to INS?

Hi:

Waiting_like_crazy, you should change your name now. :) Can you explain a little bit about "RFE Received 30th Nov"? Is is the date that AVM says that the response was received?

My attorney sent the response to RFE back on Nov. 30 by FeDex and we have not heard anything new on AVM yet. My situation is a little more complicated though. Although INS did not ask for an amended I-140, we did submit one because my company was acquired within 180 days of filing I-485. I was hoping that I could get approval without an RFE. The RFE\'s were asking for some things including employment letter. Therefore we had to file another I-140 because the company\'s name is different. This proves many people including ProActive\'s opinion that it is a waste of time if one does not file amended I-140. The new company is very supportive.

I assume my case will take longer than yours since there is a I-140 involved. What do you thing?

I think you can wait for some more time

My RFE was issuesd on 20th Oct
Lawyer got it somewhere on 3rd of Nov.
It was sent by FedEx on 7th of Nov
It was received by INS (AVM updated) on 30th of Nov

So I think you are ok and you should wait a little more.
Your case is definitely different bust who knows sometimes INS doesn\'t care about amended I-140s.
