I find this discussion board very helpful. My special thanks goes to Ciba.

I would like to say couple of things.

1. We were in urgent need of As at the end of December. I gave up calling II at SC. (I gauss, I run out patience very quickly -- Oh God !
give me patience and give it RIGHT NOW !!). So, I send them ax enquiry.
Guess what? I received a phone call from SC at my residence early in the
morning. She was asking me about the urgency of our out of country trip.
I explained, and As were approved within a day or two.

2. I waited for my AP notice till the beginning of the March. I went to the local INS and had official enquiry form. I filled that up and
mailed. Reply came back within three to four days. They asked me to
consider that letter itself as a AP notice if I have not received the
regular AP notice by that time. We went on 14th and got our Fops done.
On 29th March, I heard the magic words in AM.

I wish all of you very good luck !! Again, I cannot thank Ciba. enough
for his generous help.

Hey, Aniruddha,

Congratulations!! You missed tonight\'s tracking update, but
I will change your entry in a day or two. Thanks for posting
the good news.

I am a little confused by your messge. Are you referring to
two advance paroles or something else? Why did you go
to local office again when an IIO had called you personally
and you already got the parole? Perhaps you refer to finger
print notice? Can you clarify? Also, which INS office did
you go to? Thanks for replying, and congratulations once
again.

Clarification on my earlier post.

I got messed up badly in the edit mode when I was posting. Ciba,
you are correct. I am referring to Finger Print notice (and not
AP) on my second point.

I send fax for APs back in December and I got a call
from CSC at our residence.

On March, I mailed official enquiry form (which I got from the
local INS) to CSC because, I did not receive my FP notice at that
time. They send me an \'effective\' finger print notice within three
to four days.

I went to our local INS at Reno, NV.

I think this may clarify. I am sorry for the confusion.
