I did the passport stamping at the Arlington, VA, INS office today... In the last three years, I survived four layoffs (two massive, two less-so), countless management changes (five different CEO\'s!), the sell-off of our division to another company (for which I now work), and two project cancellations -- interesting times indeed! Luckily, I was able to retain my PD via the "sucession of interest" clause in the sell-off... I learned enough about the immigration process to last me for a few lifetimes. As a matter of fact, as I was standing out in the sub-freezing cold today at 5:30 AM, waiting in line for the INS office to open in Arlington, I had a thought about becoming an immigration lawyer some day... But then I forced myself to wake up from the stupor caused by lack of sleep (and heat) and reminded myself loudly: "I\'m not bitter! I\'m not bitter!!"

And I really am not bitter... Good luck to all of you who are still in the process! Hang in there! Cases are getting approved!
