Hi Guys,
It has been a long journey, finally came to an end today. I checked the site in the morning, there was no update. I checked in the afternoon, the message said 'approved'. God is great.
I filed I-485 in Nov'2002 and have been patiently waiting ever since like everybody else. Did 2 EAD, 2 AP renewals, till now.
I became a bit proactive this year. I don't know whether that helped or not. Entered my name in the petition that Rajiv is pursuing for us. I read somewhere in this foram, we can file AC-21 to get attention to the case. Even though, I am with the same company for the past 5 year, last year my division was bought by someother company. So, I filed in May'04 for AC-21 with EVL letter with the the new company letterhead. Then, I asked my company to file for 3rd EAD, 3rd AP extensions even though my EAD expires in Dec'04. They did. I hoped all this will turn the attention to the case. Mean time, my spouse got the 2 FP on 7/13/04 and I got mine on 8/14/04. I went along with my spouse on 7/13/04 and both of us got it done on 7/13/04. Both of our status changed on (LUD) 7/16/04.
Then, couple of weeks back, I got the RFE (8/27/04) for my spouse for BC. I am in the middle of preparing documents for replying it. I did not receive the postal mail till now. But my lawyer got it and forwarded it to me.
I was little worried I did not get an RFE or no change on LUD for my case, and was thinking my spouse will be approved first. My lawyer told me not to worry too much. Primary will be approved first and then only dependent will be approved.
I had the best lawyer I can ask for during this whole GC process. She is Elizabeth Thompson of Myers Thompson P.A, Minneapolis. During labor stage and I-140 stage, I had RFE's. She gave me the ideas and ways to gather experience certificates, and answer RFE's etc., She is one of the best.
God bless all of you. Your approval is near. Dont lose hope. Patience is the key. I have been a reader of this great forum for the past 2 years. Thank you all and Rajiv for keeping this forum alive.
