I did get my I-485 approval notice(from VSC) on April 1st 2005(still my lawyer didn’t get any thing regarding my I-485 approval), approval notice says "The above application has been approved. The immigration card facility will mail the new alien registration card directly to the applicant in approximately 120 days", but doen’t say anything about contacting local INS office for PP stamping. But info available at the link http://www.murthy.com/arc_news/a_nscerr.html, tells that there are errors from NSC as I-485 approval notice should direct an applicant to appointment for PP stamping with local INS office, other wise it’s error(incorrect language), also directs an individual to contact their attorney so that they cam talk with respective Service Centers for clarification. I did contact my attorney, but he’s of the opinion that nothing wrong with the language mentioned in the approval notice I received as it’s just a courtesy copy INS sent to me(ofcourse approval notice I got, doesn’t say anywhere it’s a courtesy copy). Also my attorney expecting a original copy of 485 approval notice with all the details about PP stamping will be sent to him.

I don’t know what to do, as per the above mentioned link, it looks like I received I-485 approval notice with incorrect language, but attorney not ready to read into the info posted on internet.
I thought of contact either VSC or local INS for clarification, but hesitating to do so.
Will anybody please advice me on this.

Thanks.

Take a infopass appointment and go to the local office ready for stamping. There is no reason why stamping is not required.
