I-485 approved in VSC. I-140 was never approved! How?

curiousGeorge,

I read the link...there is NO conclusive evidence that the I-140 “was never approved”.

The ONLY thing we know as of now is that the I-140 approval has NOT been received yet and/or the on-line status has NOT changed to "approved" yet.

Most probably, the I-140 has already been approved. We just need to wait for confirmation...NOT a BIG deal...

Just my 2 cents…

nfn,
You are right. I asked the original posted if the lawyer or the company ever received the approval notice. The beneficiary never recieves I-140 approvals, and the online status is unreliable.

curiousGeorge,

Just for the record, TSC sent three approvals for my I-140. A courtesy copy to me, original to my lawyer, and original or courtesy (not sure) to my employer.

nfn,
Really? Was your lawyer retained by you or your company? I never received the approval. Lawyer told me over the phone. My lawyer is retained by my company.

curiousGeorge,

My lawyer was and still is retained by me...

Do you think there is a difference?

nfn,
Could we be on to something here? Maybe when your lawyer is retained by you, then the the I-140 approval goes to you, since it is not considered a breach of private information, since you are the client.

In my case, since my company retained the lawyer, they would most certainly did not want me to see thier financial information. The whole I-140 process was practically done without my involvement. I only found out when it was approved.

Any thoughts?
