Application Type: I485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status

Current Status:

This case has been approved. On June 3, 2005, an approval notice was mailed. If 14 days have passed and you have not received this notice, you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283.

My case details:

Labor Filed (EB2): October 2003 (non-RIR)
Labor Approved: January 2004

I-140 Filed: April 2004
I-140 RFE: August 2004
I-140 Approved: November 2004

I-485 Filed: August 2004
Fingerprinting Scheduled: February 2005
(Postponed to April 2005)
Fingerprinting Done: April 16th, 2005
LUDs: 04/25, 04/26
I-485 Approved: June 3rd, 2005

Since there's no word on the card being mailed, I plan to get my passport stamped later this month. Can someone please list the documents I need to take with me to get my passport stamped? I'm in a bit of a jam since I leave for Paris on June 25th and return on August 1st, which necessiates immediate passport stamping...

Merci'...!

Congratulations!

Re the card: if you have your biometrics done already you should get another email in a day or so, saying that your "new card" has been ordered. They will notify you again when your card is mailed.

Items needed

Congrats on your approval.
This is exactly what you would need:
1) InfoPass appt letter
2) 485 approval letter
3) 2 passport pictures
4) All ur EAD and AP documents
5) Most importantly PASSPORT with I-94 card. That's it......

Good luck.

Thanks for the info.

If biometrics includes fingerprinting, photographs and signature, they were all done at the same time, in April. How long does it take for the card to be mailed, assuming everything goes well?

My hearty congratulations to you!!

Question to 485 filers here: Does it make a difference if you are EB-1/2/3 as far as the Processing date is concerned? I know it does for priority dates, but assuming your case is current, does it matter what category your case is for the CIS to process ur case?
example a EB-2 filed in Aug-2004 VS EB-3 files in Aug-2004

Thanks much

Yes, that is all what you need to get your card done. If everything goes fine, you will get it in about 10-14 days. But if you have scheduled an important trip, don't rely on that. I would suggest to get an appointment through InfoPass for the passport stamping ASAP and if you get your card sooner, you always can cancel the appointment.
Good luck!

Thanks, I just scheduled an appointment in Pittsburgh on June 17th. Figured I'd have the approval notice by then, and should have an idea on the status of the card itself.

Good for you.

What the hell happened to my I-485?

My wife case got approved and she received her card too. Did she need to submit her EAD, AP and I-94, if so where should she submit.

Thanks

Initial filing state

Congradulations!!!

My question to you is: which state did you initially file your labor from?
Was it New York?
