Hi guys,
by some unbelievable luck, my I-485 apparently has been approved.
Mine was a EB3 substitution case.
I-140/485 both filed concurrently on August 2003.
I thought I would be affected adversely by the visa retrogression for Indian EB3 applicants. But somehow both the I-140 as well as the 485 came through. The former 2 months ago and the latter a few days ago.
The only RFE I received pertained to the fact that the physician I went to is no longer on the list of approved physicians (turns out she was on the list when I visited and submitted a letter saying that). After that there were no other RFEs.
Quite a pleasant surprise, as I wasn't expecting anything to move at all.
Thanks for all of your support and advise. I wish everyone the best...
