Both my wife and my case have been approved today.

My original labor is still stuck in BEC. I was very lucky to get a sub-labor last year to roll the I-485.

Meantime, two of my friends are still stuck in FBI name check for 2 and 3 years.

All my other co-workers are still stuck in BEC after 6 years.

What can I say?!

lken and bsain,

Congratulations to both of you!

I sure hope my case will be approved soon. My case status is different from yours. Mine changed from not found to "pending at the office in Laguna Nieguel", rather than "being reviewed". :(

I am really concerned.

I think that they changed the procedure......

My case was trasnsferred to Santa Ana office in Dec 2004, and I was interviewed there in August 2005. My priority date of Nov 18, 2001 became current this month, and I visited Santa Ana office on Sept 7, 2006 and the file was transferred to CSC the same day. I have not heard anything yet. I was hoping to get the approval notice.

I believe that these days they are generating approval letter after ordering the Green Card. I do not know how long CSC will take to record the reciept of file in their system.

Congratulations on your approval, and all the best...

I-485 Approved: EB3 11/2001 (China)

On September 1st 2006 we rushed to LA office via InfoPass. After confirmed that our PD is current, the officer (a nice lady) sent us to the Status Adjustment Interview Office (in 8th floor), but we were told that they wouldn’t find our files, I explained to the supervisor that we had been waiting for over 5 years, we couldn’t miss this chance. After about 6 hours long-waiting, our files were found, the officer apologized for the long waiting and issued us the finger print notices immediately, he told us that we could come back on 15th, September to get our cases approved.
We took our fingerprints (only) on 5th September.
On 15th September, we went to the Status Adjustment Interview office directly, after making sure that our fingerprints were cleared, the officer approved our cases and stamped our passports (I-551), because we had an emergency trip. We were told that we would receive our green cards shortly.

Congratulations to LA_GC485!

Here is a question: Why you got passport stamped? I thought nowdays you don't need to have stamp.
Is that because you need to travel outside the country without the plastic green card because of the "emergency" trip?

Yes, we showed the evidence to the officer that we need an emergency trip, the officer mentioned normally no more passport could be stamped, but just in case of emergency.
