I-485 approved, but I am unemployed

My I-485 is approved!!, but since it was based on employment(EB1) and I am unemployed now, I am affraid that I will be asked for my current employment status at the time to get my passport stamp, would they ask ????

By the way I would like to thank everybody on this forum, specially the moderators because without this forum I wouldn't have gotten this far for sure, THANKS !!!!

They don't ask for employment status while stamping.
 
No Problem

Happened to a friend of mine, he was laid off on an H-1...USCIS almost treated him like a human when he went for his stamping...just take your approval notice, info passs, EAD cards, AP etc..
 
my attorney is confusing me.

My attorney still concern that I am unemployed, he is also concern and surprise that the I-485 got approved so quick. The I-485 was filed in Sep 2004 and I got a notice of denial on May-05 due to an old I-140 that was filed and rejected. Just one week and half after filing a MTR on the basis that I have another I-140 approved, I recieved the notification via emial that my I-485 is now approved. (I have check several times the on-line case status and it says the same: APPROVED, although the MTR does not have an approval status the LUD is the same than the I-485 LUD and approval)

I am not sure when questions about my employment may rise per my attorney comments other than at the time of getting the passport stampped.

On the other hand my attorney also mentioned that in some cases the GC is recieved by mail and there is no need for the stamp, that the actual approval notice should give me more instructions. (I cannot wait for this document to get into my mailbox)

Any ideas or comments??

Let him be concerned and let him be surprised. You better get your passport stamped, find another job (showing that passport stamp) and move on with your life.
 
Passport stampped and GC in process

well, as always you guys were right, I went to the local USCIS office and the process to get the passport stampped and the GC was very smooth, before the officer ask anything she was already taking my finger print and making me sign the I-551, the whole process for me and my family did not take more than 20 min.

here is my story for the record :

Mar/04 - I-140 (EB1) for CP filed
Sep/04 - I-140(EB1) /I-485 for AOS filed
Mar/05 - first I-140 for CP denied due to an RFE not responded
Mar/05 - FP
Apr/05 - second I-140 for AOS accepted
Apr/05 - got laid off
May/05 -I-485 denied due to the denial of the first I-140 for CP
May/05 - MTR filed based on the second I-140 approved for AOS
Jun/05 - I-485 approved
Jun/05 - Passport stampped and I-551 (GC) processed
