Hello Everyone,
My I-485 has been approved on Oct 11, 2004 (applied May 2003). I changed job 2 weeks ago and was working on sending the AC-21 papers. However, I got I-485 approved before I got the chance to send AC-21.

I guess it woun't be a problem in the future since there is not hard and fast rule that I HAVE to inform USCIS about job change after 180 days of pending I-485 (and approved I-140).

Still need advise about the next course of action.

Thanks in advance.

Not Sending

I changed jobs using AC21 and did not inform USCIS. My case was approved last month and I have my passport stamped. I do NOT intend to inform USCIS of the job change.

Intention to Work for GC sponsoring Employer Satisfied or not?

Hi Elcid2000,

So our Intention to Work for GC sponsoring Employer Satisfied or not?
We did not work for the GC sponsoring Employer after GC Approval. Right? Will it not be an issue for citizenship?

Did You submit the Ac-21 papers while going for GC -Stamping or Just got Stamped without submitting the Ac-21 papers?

No need to inform USCIS after the approval. Just go for stamping. Stay in the same job at least for next six months. If USCIS asks any thing at the time citzenship/ GC renewal you can say you used AC-21 at that time.

Just got stamped

I got stamped without submitting AC-21 papers. The officer just asked me where my petitioning company is located and I told him without providing any other info. AC-21 applies to pending 485 and if approved, you do not need to complicate your case. Don't ask don't tell.
