I-485 approved a month ago, no cards yet

Hi Friends,

Our I-485’s have been approved on May 23rd,2005 , but no status update. and we received approval notices directly via Mail. We went to local office and got stamped. And on Jun 10th we have received approval emails and status also updated on the web. But still now no updates so far like ‘ you card has been ordered’ . can you share experiences on receiving physical cards pl.

Labor, sep19th, 2001( EB3, India, RIR)
I-485 ND – Feb 3rd, 2004
FP date – Feb 17th, 2005
I-485 AD – May 23rd, 2005

I also got PP stamped in NY city on Jun 07 BUT no updates after that.

From where you got PP stamped??
 
Hello all.
Some times the USCIS will post some things with out making sure that it actually being done, just like my I-130 it was showing in their computer that it was transferred from Nebraska center to California for faster processing, on April 13th 2005, I even got a transfer notice, but when I didn’t get an notice from California center I start calling them they both denied having jurisdiction over my case it took two good month with a long battle by writing letters, and getting my congressman involved and every day phone calls for them to find my case it was still in Nebraska collecting dust on the shelf, it was finally received by California service center on June 23 2005, so guys go ahead call your local office find out about your green card status, the USCIS web sits says if it take more than 30 days after you got your stamp or approval and you haven’t gotten your card yet you must call them, my sister is been in U.S since April 3rd 1997 and there is still no green card for her simply because of what is happening to you guys right now, I am not trying to scare any one but delaying is another meaning for lost or abandon, so call them and bug them until you get your green cards, good luck all
 
pl. reply friends. My driving licence is going to expire by July 18th and I am not sure I can renew it with passport stamping or not. do you think I should call VSC as it' been almost one month after I have got stamped. any suggestions would greatly appreciated

For me it took almost 75 days after PP stamping to recieve my cards. PP April 12th and CO June 15th, CM June 27 and CR June 30th.

Usually you get in a month but If you look at the other treads for most of the people it's taking around 2 month...

By the way why do you need PP stamping for DL renewal??

The passport stamping is as good as the card. I had no problems in GA (but then again my DL was never tied to my TN/H-1B. Their records had my legal stay expiring in 1999). Your mileage may vary, depending on how stupid your local DMV employees are.
 
Hi Friends,

I live in NH and my DL is tied to my EAD/H1 expiration date. since my EAD is invalid now b'cos of my GC approval. I need to show the proof that I have legal status to renew my DL and not sure they accept my pp stamping or not

You can go and get a new SSN card based on your I-551, when you receive new SSN card you can show the card in combination with u r I-551 stamping stating that you no longer require a H1/EAD. YOU ARE A PR of United States of America :-)
